Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your relationship with Woodwise Hardwood Floor Co. when you engage us for flooring services. Please read them carefully. We've written them to be straightforward — not to bury you in legalese.
Acceptance of Terms
By requesting a quote, scheduling services, or engaging Woodwise Hardwood Floor Co. in any capacity, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. These terms apply to all clients, visitors, and anyone who interacts with Woodwise in connection with flooring services.
Services
Woodwise provides hardwood floor installation, refinishing, dustless sanding, staining, finish coating, custom repairs, and demolition services in Boulder, Colorado and surrounding areas. All services are subject to availability, site assessment, and agreement on scope prior to commencement. We reserve the right to decline any project at our discretion.
Estimates & Quotes
All written estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue and are based on conditions observed at the time of the site visit. Final pricing may be adjusted if site conditions differ materially from those assessed (e.g., hidden subfloor damage, moisture issues, or scope changes requested by the client). We will notify you of any material changes before proceeding.
Payment Terms
A deposit — typically 50% of the project total — is required to secure your project start date. The remaining balance is due upon project completion and your satisfaction walkthrough. For larger projects, milestone-based payment schedules may be arranged in writing. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. Unpaid balances past 30 days are subject to a 1.5% monthly finance charge.
Scheduling & Site Access
You are responsible for ensuring that the work area is cleared of furniture, rugs, and personal items prior to your scheduled start date unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Woodwise requires reasonable access to your property during scheduled working hours. Delays caused by inaccessible premises, failure to clear the work area, or failure to disconnect appliances may result in rescheduling fees or adjusted project timelines.
Project Changes & Scope
Any changes to the agreed scope of work — including additional square footage, species or finish changes, or added services — must be documented in a written change order signed by both parties before work proceeds. Change orders may affect both pricing and project timeline. Woodwise is not responsible for delays resulting from client-initiated scope changes.
Warranty
Woodwise warrants its labor and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of project completion. This warranty covers defects in workmanship under normal use conditions and does not cover damage resulting from excessive moisture, improper cleaning products, pet damage, high heels, moving appliances, or acts of nature. Material warranties are governed by the respective manufacturer's terms and are separate from our labor warranty.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Woodwise's total liability for any claim arising from services rendered shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific project giving rise to the claim. Woodwise is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind, including loss of use, loss of income, or damage to property not directly caused by our negligence.
Dispute Resolution
We are committed to resolving any concerns directly and fairly. In the event of a dispute, we ask that you contact us in writing and allow 10 business days for a response. If a resolution cannot be reached informally, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Boulder County, Colorado, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Colorado law governs these terms.
